01 / BEFORE WORK BEGINS

YOUR IDEA.
OUR PROCESS.

We document the job before the laser runs. Approval should be clear enough that you know what is being engraved, where it will go, and what it will cost.

01 / INTAKEMaterial review

THE ITEM & ITS CONDITION

We identify the item and material, note readily observable condition and existing damage as appropriate, and discuss foreseeable risks from heat, coatings, alloys, and prior finishing. ABIS Arms may decline materials or projects that appear unsafe or unsuitable.

02 / RIGHTSCustomer confirms

ARTWORK AUTHORIZATION

Customers must own or have permission to use submitted names, trademarks, logos, and artwork. ABIS Arms may request confirmation or decline designs where rights or authorization are unclear.

03 / APPROVALBefore engraving

PROOF & PLACEMENT

You review and approve the artwork, text and spelling, size, orientation, placement, and intended depth or effect where applicable. Changes after approval require updated written confirmation before ABIS proceeds.

04 / SCOPEWritten quote

PRICE & WORK AUTHORIZATION

ABIS confirms the service scope, quoted charges, timing estimates, material concerns, and any agreed deposit or cancellation terms. Extra work and additional charges require customer approval before proceeding.

02 / THE MATERIAL MATTERS

A REAL SURFACE.
A REAL RESULT.

Digital previews communicate design and placement. They cannot reproduce every material reaction or exact finish appearance.

NORMAL VARIATIONS

  • Depth, contrast and shade may differ across metals, coatings, finishes and surface conditions.
  • Engraving may permanently expose underlying material or change an existing protective finish.
  • Previously refinished, coated or customer-supplied items may carry additional risks disclosed during intake.

ABIS RESPONSIBILITY

  • Normal, discussed material variation is different from a mistake in our approved work.
  • Work performed outside the accepted scope or proof, or damage attributable to ABIS conduct, will be evaluated and addressed under the agreement and law.
  • No blanket waiver excuses shop-caused workmanship errors or rights that cannot legally be waived.
CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED ITEMS & PARTS

ABIS Arms does not provide a voluntary product warranty on a customer-supplied item or component. We remain responsible for qualifying ABIS workmanship under the applicable terms. We may refuse defective, incompatible or unsafe materials and will discuss reasonably identifiable risks before accepting a job.

03 / WORKMANSHIP & REMEDIES

WE OWN
OUR WORK.

The updated policy provides 30-day coverage for defects attributable to engraving workmanship performed by ABIS Arms, subject to the final written terms.

30-DAY WORKMANSHIP

Coverage is intended for the original service customer and applies to verified execution errors attributable to ABIS engraving labor. Retain the work order or other reasonable proof of service. Read the warranty overview.

DESIGN CHANGES

Customer-approved content, spelling, size and placement are not themselves a defect when the finished work matches the approved proof. A requested change after approval may require a revised quote.

WHEN SOMETHING IS WRONG

Contact us promptly. For verified covered workmanship defects, ABIS will review an appropriate correction, replacement or other remedy under the applicable written agreement and law. Remedies depend on the item and whether correction is practicable.

CUSTOM WORK / CANCELLATIONS

PERSONALIZED DOES NOT MEAN NO RIGHTS.

Engraving is generally irreversible. Properly completed custom work may not qualify for a voluntary change-of-mind return. Cancellations before work, disclosed deposits or nonrecoverable materials, and remedies for defects or shop-caused damage are governed by the written agreement and applicable law—not a blanket no-refunds or no-liability rule.

04 / HOW A PROJECT MOVES FORWARD

REVIEW.
APPROVE. ENGRAVE.

Clear documentation protects the project and reduces surprises for everyone.
