Clear coverage for the products we make and the work we perform. Here is what our limited warranties cover, what they do not, and how to get help when something is not right.
ABIS ARMS01 / OUR COVERAGE
Coverage applies to qualifying work or products and is limited by the written warranty provided for your purchase or work order. These benefits are not a warranty on every product sold at ABIS Arms.
Qualifying products and custom-built firearms manufactured by ABIS Arms are covered for defects in ABIS materials or workmanship. For new coverage, the limited lifetime period is tied to the product’s serviceable life while owned by its original retail purchaser, subject to the written terms and proof of purchase.
Qualifying Cerakote application performed by ABIS Arms is covered for verified application defects, such as adhesion failure, peeling, flaking, bubbling, or similar defects attributable to our work. The limited lifetime period applies to the original service customer while the coated item remains serviceable and owned by that customer.
ABIS Arms provides 90-day coverage for defects attributable to gunsmithing workmanship performed by our team. This covers our labor, not unrelated firearm conditions or third-party parts unless a separate written warranty specifically says otherwise.
ABIS Arms provides 30-day coverage for errors in engraving workmanship performed by our team. We will address execution errors attributable to ABIS Arms. Customer-approved wording, artwork, placement, and design preferences are not workmanship defects when the finished work matches the approved proof.
New ABIS limited warranties apply to the original retail purchaser or original service customer and are not voluntarily transferable, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Reasonable proof of purchase or service may be requested. Warranty registration is optional and is never required to receive otherwise applicable coverage.
02 / WHAT TO EXPECT
We stand behind defects caused by our manufacturing or workmanship. Other damage and normal use may fall outside voluntary warranty coverage.
ABIS Arms does not provide a voluntary product warranty on parts supplied by customers. We warrant our own qualifying workmanship as stated above. We may decline parts or work that appear defective, incompatible, or unsafe. An unrelated third-party part failure does not by itself become an ABIS warranty claim.
Exclusions apply only as permitted by the written warranty and applicable law. Damage caused by outside work may be excluded; the mere use of third-party service does not automatically erase unrelated coverage.
03 / DIFFERENT PRODUCTS, DIFFERENT TERMS
Not every warranty offered on a firearm or accessory comes from ABIS Arms. We will help you identify the right coverage and contact.
New firearms, optics, accessories, and other products made by third parties are governed by their manufacturers’ written warranties, if any. ABIS Arms may assist with a manufacturer claim; handling or shipping charges may apply when disclosed.
Do not assume an ABIS limited lifetime warranty applies to used, traded-in, or consigned merchandise. Any applicable coverage will be stated in the written sales terms for that item, subject to law.
Eligible distributor firearms may qualify for Davidson’s separate GuaranteeD® Lifetime Replacement program. This is not an ABIS Arms workmanship warranty. Read the program terms and exclusions.
PRIOR WORK / PRIOR PROMISES
Warranties issued before the effective date of updated terms remain governed by the written promises applicable when the product was sold or the service was completed. Earlier terms may differ, including on transferability. We will review each claim against the warranty actually issued, not retroactively substitute newer terms.
04 / MAKING A CLAIM
Start with our team before returning anything. We will identify which written warranty applies, review the issue, and explain the next step.
Describe the concern and identify your purchase or work order. We will advise what information is needed and how to submit it securely.
Keep your receipt or service record. ABIS may request reasonable proof, photos, or an inspection to determine whether the issue is covered.
For a verified covered defect, ABIS will provide the repair, reapplication, replacement, or other remedy specified by the applicable written warranty and law. Changes to an original Cerakote color or pattern may involve an agreed charge.
Do not ship or deliver a firearm, regulated item, or ammunition for a warranty claim until ABIS Arms provides instructions. Applicable shipping, identification, and transfer requirements must be followed.

The terms issued for the specific item or service and applicable law determine coverage, exclusions, claims and remedies until a revised policy is formally adopted. Customers may request the complete currently applicable written terms before purchase or service.
